CARE AND MAINTENANCE

SOLSTICE POLY FURNITURE is made from High Density Polyethylene (HDPE), a recycled plastic that will never need to be painted or stained. It will not rot or splinter, crack, peel, dry rot or decay and it contains an added UV protective agent to resist fading. SOLSTICE POLY FURNITURE will not promote bacterial growth. For this reason, SOLSTICE POLY FURNITURE will stand the test of time with just a little care and maintenance.

To maintain the beauty of your furniture, clean it regularly with dish soap and water. While most colors need to be cleaned only a few times per year using soap and water, some lighter colors need to be cleaned more frequently to maintain their original beauty. If needed, spray the furniture thoroughly with soap water, then scrub the furniture using a soft bristled brush and rinse off with warm clean water. In extreme circumstances, spray the furniture with non-abrasive cleaner and wash it using a pressure washer (not exceeding 1,500 PSI). Do not place the tip of your pressure washer closer than 8″ to12″ from the furniture, or it will tear into the material. Simply wipe dry with a soft towel.

Do not place any items on the furniture that will leave stains, such as rust-prone metals. Light surface marks can be cleaned with a solution of Trisodium Phosphate (TSP) and water. Stubborn stains, such as rust, can be removed using a mixture of bleach and water (1 part bleach to 10 parts water) or products like IRON OUT® without causing any damage.

Do not place hot items directly onto the furniture to avoid melting. Ensure the furniture is protected from high heat sources such as campfires or grills.

SOLSTICE POLY FURNITURE uses the highest quality stainless steel fasteners available. All metal bracing is made of aluminum or stainless steel. Although stainless steel and aluminum are less likely to rust, in extreme conditions such as near pools and coastal areas, it is still recommended to regularly rinse the furniture with fresh water with special attention to the hardware to avoid corrosion.
